Lead Engineering Geologist

About

Cara is a Lead Engineering Geologist, responsible for managing the offshore geotechnical engineering consultancy services within the renewable energy and oil and gas sector at Longitude. Her experience includes the management of several major projects within the offshore industry, specialising in Wind Farm FEED works.

Cara’s engineering capabilities include site feasibility and desk studies, design procurement and monument of large offshore geotechnical and geophysical surveys, management of site development risk registers, offshore cable routing, geotechnical interpretive reporting, development of design soil parameters for foundation and ground model development.

Additionally, Cara has experience within Wind Farm stakeholder management with including UXO, archeologically, fisheries and environmental and permitting. Offshore she is a highly experienced Client Representative for geotechnical surveys, responsible for adapting survey scope in real time in conjunction with management of the contractor, to ensure technical, contractual and HSE compliance.

At Longitude Cara’s oil and gas sector experience has seen further growth.   Project work has included Jack up rig leg/mat penetration assessments, SSA input and rig selection services for the movement MOPUs. Additional capabilities include pipe/soil interaction studies and pipe/cable seabed stability analyses.
