Can you give us a glimpse into your day-to-day life at Longitude?
My work life in Longitude is focused on working directly with our clients, understanding their requirements and needs. I work alongside Jan Erik Berg to develop Longitude’s offering in offshore wind foundation design.
What inspired you to join your profession?
Curiosity about how things work and a fascination with the ocean inspired me to pursue this profession. I’ve always been intrigued by the engineering behind structures that can withstand harsh marine environments, and I wanted to be part of solving those complex challenges.
Can you share with us something exciting that you are currently working on?
We’re currently building a team of talented colleagues and partners with the goal of becoming a top-tier global offshore wind foundation design engineering house. The level of interest from clients and industry professionals has been overwhelming—and it’s incredibly energising to be part of something with such momentum and purpose.
Looking ahead, what do you think is key to driving sustainability in your industry?
Besides work, what do you enjoy most about working within the ABL Group?
I truly enjoy meeting dedicated and passionate colleagues and clients from around the world who value building strong relationships. Being part of a marine company with its heart at sea feels like home to me—I’ve been sailing all my life, so it’s where I belong.
What are the biggest market challenges currently facing offshore wind foundation design and how are Longitude helping clients navigate these issues?
One of the biggest challenges in offshore wind foundation design is the fluctuation in global and local markets. Stop-and-go policies from governments disrupt project development, making it hard to maintain consistent production and driving up the cost of renewable energy. At Longitude, we help clients navigate this uncertainty by providing flexible, forward-thinking design solutions that support long-term sustainability and keep projects moving—even in a volatile market. We believe a stable green energy transition is vital for future generations.
