Longitude – the design and engineering consultants – has expanded its capability in offshore wind design with the integration of expert structural design and ocean engineering teams from its sister company, the Nantes-based marine renewable energy specialists, Innosea.
Innosea’s disciplines in structural, hydrodynamics, and foundations engineering have combined with Longitude’s offshore wind design and ocean engineering teams, enhancing ABL Group’s overall capabilities in design and engineering for offshore markets.
This transition further strengthens Longitude’s offering in offshore wind design, forming a team that can deliver from concept to detailed design and installation engineering.
The teams will remain in Nantes, France, also giving Longitude a platform to support the French renewable energy market via an established in-country presence.

Longitude’s offshore wind design team provides concept design, FEED, and detailed design services for bottom-fixed wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations, floating WTG foundations, offshore substation (OSS) foundations, cables and cable routing, OSS topsides, and landfall.
This strategic integration has taken place alongside the announcement that Innosea is set to rebrand to sister company, OWC.
Both initiatives mark the final step in Innosea’s integration into ABL Group and further consolidate the Group’s global offering in renewable energy technical advisory and engineering, unlocking more capacity and capabilities to support better support clients in more markets worldwide.
