Longitude Engineering is proud to announce the addition of Kim Sandvik and Espen Trøen Hansen to our offshore wind foundation design team. Both join as Principal Engineers and bring a wealth of international experience in offshore wind structural design, spanning concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
Kim Sandvik has broad experience in jacket and monopile design across Europe, the US, and Asia, with deep expertise in secondary and primary steel design, BIM, and life cycle information (LCI). With multidisciplinary expertise, he promotes collaboration across project disciplines to deliver solutions optimized for the project’s overall objectives.
His notable projects include the Empire Wind 1 monopile FEED and detailed design in the US, the Formosa II jacket project in Taiwan, and WTG jacket designs across South Korea, Taiwan, China, and Europe. At Longitude Engineering, Kim will continue to leverage this knowledge to optimise offshore foundation solutions.

Espen Trøen Hansen is a leading specialist in offshore wind foundation design, with broad experience managing international, multidisciplinary teams. His notable projects include the Anma WTG jacket in South Korea, Empire Wind monopile FEED in the US, and a broad portfolio of jacket and monopile foundation designs delivered across APAC, Europe, and the US.
Espen brings deep expertise in primary steel design, conceptual and detailed design, and dynamic analyses of offshore wind foundations. Espen is passionate about advancing the offshore wind industry through innovative engineering and collaborative leadership.
