LOC Group is pleased to announce the appointment of David Brown as Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Aberdeen based Longitude Engineering team. David previously worked for UTEC Geomarine, part of the Acteon Group, as Principal Engineer. His new position at Longitude is part of an initiative to support the developments taking place in the oil and gas and renewable sectors. His appointment will also ensure that LOC is well placed to serve the industry and its client needs.

David has over 30 years’ experience across these sectors and has developed technical skills in all aspects of subsea engineering. David has been involved in numerous large-scale oil and gas projects across the globe, including; Chevron’s Gorgon Project offshore Australia, Premier Oil’s Catcher Project and BP’s Quad 204 Project both offshore UK. More recently he has been involved in several offshore wind arm projects such as East Anglia ONE and Hornsea. He has also worked for some of the largest energy companies in the world, such as; GE Oil and Gas, ExxonMobil Corporation, Royal Dutch Shell plc, Subsea 7 and Technip, now TechnipFMC.
