In April 2010, engineers Bernardo Xavier and Guilherme Leal embarked on a mission that would transform Brazilian naval engineering. With a bold proposal and a clear vision: to be more than a supplier — to become a strategic partner for their clients. Thus, Proper Marine was born. Today, as the company celebrates its 15th anniversary, it looks back with pride and forward with optimism, recognizing that its greatest strength lies in the team that leads it every day.
Milestones of a constantly evolving journey

2010 – Company founded with a focus on naval and offshore engineering projects.
2012 – Hugo Jordão joins as a partner, enhancing technical and strategic capabilities.
Over 1,600 projects delivered in countries such as the USA, Australia, Senegal, Portugal, Dubai, and China.
2020 – During the pandemic, the company sustained its growth without layoffs, reaffirming its commitment to the team.
2022 – Former intern Ícaro is promoted to Director, a symbol of Proper Marine’s career development and internal recognition.
2023 – New office opened on Avenida Rio Branco, contract signed with Petrobras, and Felipe Amaral appointed as Director.
2024 – Reached 100 employees and acquired by the ABL Group, positioning Proper Marine as a global technical hub.

2024 and a new chapter with the ABL Group
At the end of 2024, Proper was fully acquired by the ABL Group — and that opened new doors. We gained access to more advanced technology, new markets, and even greater strength to take Brazilian engineering to the world stage.
