Longitude, the design and engineering arm of global consultancy ABL Group, has appointed seasoned energy industry professional Johan Samad as Regional Director to lead its Facilities & Subsea Engineering Division across Asia Pacific. 
This strategic appointment supports Longitude’s commitment to expanding its presence and services in the region, where the company was originally founded.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Johan brings over 37 years of international experience in the energy sector, including senior roles with operators, contractors, and consultancies. A Chartered Engineer (CEng, FIChemE) and Professional Engineer (Ir PEng), his expertise spans oil & gas production facilities, CO₂ removal, LNG and alternative fuels, and renewable power plants. He is also a certified HAZOP facilitator and a highly experienced project director, manager, and process engineer.
